We had an OP-Love photo shoot the other day.  It is where certain photographers (I say special) waive a sitting fee, for Service Members about to deploy or are deployed, or about to return.  Our photographers name is Bethany, who is the creative mind behind Mady Joe Photography .  Last night I received a few sneaks from our session.  I really cannot wait to see the rest.  One of the great things about OP-Love is that they will send Jess an album (free) to him of our shoot, while he deployed.  What a wonderful little surprise, not to mention a huge morale boost.  We will not have the luxury of Skype, just short emails and the very occasional phone call.  So, getting pictures from home are little pieces of heaven.  I cannot wait to see more pictures from our session, I will share them as I get more.  If you happen to live in the Jacksonville/Orange Park/St. Augustine area, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend her! Hello there!! Can you believe it, I made something and blogged...WOOT! After 19 days of visitors, and my entire family getting sick, we are all starting to be on the mend, and as of this morning my Dad left, so all our visitors are gone.   Now it is time to get back into a routine.  My children still have a week left of break, so I am hoping to get a few fun things in with them. Now that Christmas is over, it is time to get those "thank you", stamps out to send thank you cards for all of those fantastic presents you received.  I plan on making super simple cards.  Here I took out some Basic Grey pattern paper, Hero Arts clear stamps & some Jillibean Soup pre-scored cards & envelopes.  I have to say, this was my first time using Hero Arts clear stamps, and I was really impressed, thumbs up in my book. Super, duper easy folks! Trim down some pattern paper, stamp your sentiment, and I added some white dashes using a gel pen. I think I might grab my corner ...

Hooray, I am finally on the mend. I really, really dislike getting sick, but unfortunately that is part of life. On a different note, my husband made it home the other night.  He was stuck in Virginia for a few extra days due to a winter storm, then his aircraft had a few hiccups.  He landed around 6:30pm, drove home super uber fast, we changed and somehow made it (although late) to the Ward room Christmas dinner/party.  We arrived after dinner was served, so I had a few drinks instead, while some of the speeches we given.  Jess will be deploying in the New Year, so this will be an extra special Christmas for my little family.  His parents are visiting us this week, we will get a two day respite, then my Father will visit for a week.  Very busy, however my children are loving the company. Today, I plan on crafting the day away, so I will have some fun new things to show in the next day or two.   I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season so far! ...

Hello there bloggers. I am still sick! Talk about the worst timing ever.  My to do list is growing by the minute, and to be honest I am starting to freak my beans a little because I don't think everything is going to get done.  I am weak, and really unable to do anything.  Driving my children to and from school is about all I can handle right now.  So far this week for dinner we have had take out from, Panera, Five Guys, Mc Donalds & Chik fil a.  Tonight they had the ever so fabulous Easy Mac.  My body is exhausted and so I have just been camped out on the couch.  The hubby is gone right now, so getting the house ready for visitors is my job, hopefully by Friday I can start to tackle it all. Anyhow, for any of you who have a cold right now, here are a few products that I suggest. They seem to be helping, and make my day a little more bearable. This box says Mucinex DM. I hope you have great plans for the weekend. As for me, I am knocked on my booty kind of sick.  Chills, fever, sore throat, congestion...get the idea?  I am not going to lie, I am a little freaked out.  Hubby is gone for a bit, I am sick and I have company coming next week.  I need to clean the house, finish/start my Christmas cards, finish Christmas shopping, put up the Christmas tree and complete all of my crafty deadlines.  Did I mention I am sick, and have to do this alone...bah, lol.  Isn't that the way it always is?  At least I still have my sense of humor and wits about me, or the amount of stuff I need to complete this week could really send me over the deep end.  Somehow, it will all get done, I don't know how yet, but it will.   The plan of the day, is to clean my craft-tastrophy I have going on, and to put the Christmas tree up, along with all of our holiday items.  Plus I need to have pictures developed from the last few days...

Happy December 1, 2010! I really cannot believe this year is coming to an end.  Is it just me or does time go by faster the older you get?  It sure feels that way sometimes.  Today on this first day of December, I get to share with you a sneak of a stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  This set which will be available tomorrow, is called Hello Friend.  It is a fun take on sentiments.
