CPS #190 using Lawn Fawn, Spellbinders & American Crafts

Image
Today, I had every intention of making a few Halloween cards.  However, it is just around 100 degrees here, in North East Florida, and I just could not get into seasonal stamping lol.  My bright City Park paper from American Crafts was calling out to me loud and clear.  This line makes me so happy!  From the graphic design American Crafts is known for, to the amazing images, plus they scattered glitter all over it, just screams fun!  To start, I cut/embossed my pattern paper with a Grand Scalloped Square die template, using my handy dandy Grand Calibur .  Die cutting has never been easier or more fun using these new tools!  Okay, so now that my paper is die cut, it was time to score it.  Since the die cut is a perfect 6 inch square, I scored at 3 inches (you have got to love easy math).  Oh, let me back track for a second, I am using the Card Positioning Systems sketch # 190 , I am a sucker for a great sketch!  Now that my card is scor...

Laundry basket blues

Image
Happy Monday! I really should have done all the laundry in the house yesterday, but I really just wanted to veg out.  So, today I will be doing what I avoided.  Instead of doing actual laundry, I colored in this cute laundry basket image (Lockhart Stamps), it was so much more fun than the real thing lol.  Isn't that sentiment so true?  Wash * Dry * Fold * Repeat  I know all of you reading this are nodding your head yes in agreement with me.  Sometimes you just need to rest your body, the laundry is still there waiting, but the rest was so needed and will get me through this week.  But seriously, I think my laundry breeds & multiplies at night, like Gremlins, it just never goes away! Oh did you all see the SF Giants vs Phillies playoff game the other night? As a girl born and raised in N. California, I was yelling at the tv cheering them on! So excited to see them go to the World Series! They are going to kick some Ranger booty :) Materials Used: ...

Christmas Card using October Mint Motif stamps

Image
Now that the holidays are fast approaching, it is time for me to get my Christmas card game on! You know what I mean? I am gong to be way ahead of the game this year! So for my card today I am mixing up the Beyond Borders stamp set and Very Merry Sentiments from Mint Motif.  You can never go wrong with a clean graphic design, white on white card stock and minimal embellishments.  This isn't too bulky, so I am pretty sure it will meet my one stamp requirement.  I put my fancier Christmas cards in with a present, so the USPS doesn't ruin it.   What I love is that, it would be pretty easy to mass produce these if I wanted.  If you all know me I don't really mass produce cards anymore, so mass producing to me is nothing more than 4 lol.   Well I better go, I have to wake up at O-dark-thirty in the morning, as my oldest has a Cross Country meet to be at, at 6:30 am!  Jeepers! Have a great weekend!! Materials Used: Mint Motif Very Merry Sentiments & ...
