Christmas Card using October Mint Motif stamps

Image
Now that the holidays are fast approaching, it is time for me to get my Christmas card game on! You know what I mean? I am gong to be way ahead of the game this year! So for my card today I am mixing up the Beyond Borders stamp set and Very Merry Sentiments from Mint Motif.  You can never go wrong with a clean graphic design, white on white card stock and minimal embellishments.  This isn't too bulky, so I am pretty sure it will meet my one stamp requirement.  I put my fancier Christmas cards in with a present, so the USPS doesn't ruin it.   What I love is that, it would be pretty easy to mass produce these if I wanted.  If you all know me I don't really mass produce cards anymore, so mass producing to me is nothing more than 4 lol.   Well I better go, I have to wake up at O-dark-thirty in the morning, as my oldest has a Cross Country meet to be at, at 6:30 am!  Jeepers! Have a great weekend!! Materials Used: Mint Motif Very Merry Sentiments & ...

Mint Motif October sneak: Beyond Borders

Image
Happy Monday! Today I get to sneak a brand new set from Mint Motif called Beyond Borders, available on Oct 14th. What is so wonderful about this set, is that is is a background builder set.  It can be used on any project you can dream of, all year round.  I really enjoy stamping on my scrapbook pages, so I used one of the stamps from this set, to stamp a great background instead of using pattern paper.  Only stamps could have given me this look. I started out with a 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of kraft card stock.  I then took out some Crackle paint, spread it on part of the card stock, and let it dry.  Once dry, I stamped my image with Palette ink , I did this three times to create a nice pattern.  I then adhered gems down, partly over the crackle paint and stamped pattern.  The gems were originally clear, but I took out a Copic marker, to coordinate & customize it with the ink.  I then adhered a picture of my daughter, that was the inspiration o...

Tuesday Trigger using Mint Motif

Image
I decided to play along with this weeks Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger ,  called a Funky Fall. The inspiration pieces always seem to get my mojo jump started! I was inspired by the colors the most in the above photo, especially the green. There are so many beautiful fall pattern papers out there to choose from, which would have been amazing to use.  However, I love the City Park line from American Crafts, and the sheet of pattern paper that I chose just worked perfectly.  I also needed to make a happy birthday card that I wanted to be non-seasonal.  The sheet of paper is actually embossed and has a really great texture to it.  After I adhered the pattern paper (floral and solid green strip), I grabbed my Mint Motif stamps.  The white label die cut was cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Labels Sixteen.  The sentiment is from the Very Square Sentiments stamp set, and the green pattern underneath the sentiment was created by using one of the square back gro...
