Welcome to Day 2, of the Lawn Fawn October sneaks. The set I am sneaking today, is called Happy Hanukkah.  I for one know that there are not enough Hanukkah stamps available to the public, so I was most excited when Kelly told us about this set.  My niece Wentir celebrates Hanukkah, as well as one of my son Jacob's closest friends, so this set will see lots of love this holiday season.  I tried to use a nice dark blue on my card, I really like the symbolism of the color.   It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, water, river, and heaven.  The white is the symbol of honesty, innocence and peace.  While brainstorming on how I was going to use the stamp set, I kept going back to a simple design.  The die cut was cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Labels Sixteen.  The Menorah, was stamped in a Color Box Pigment ink.  Pigment inks will give you a nice even coverage on your solid image stamps.  I let the ...

October, already, really? It is that time again to show a sneaks of a stamp set called Bow & Holly from Lawn Fawn. This set has a little of everything to create some fun Holiday projects.   I decorated a bag, and created a card, for my project today.  I picked out some Basic Grey Jovial pattern paper, then adhered it over the front of the bag.  It is a fast an easy bag makeover.  I colored in the images with coordinating Copic markers, to coordinate with the pattern paper.  That is one of the things I love most about Copic markers is to customize just about anything.  The shape of the card was created by cutting/embossing the card base using the Spellbinders Labels Fifteen Make sure you visit the Lawn Fawn blog , I think Kelly Marie may be giving this stamp set away! Hello there! I didn't mean to take a few days (more like a week) off from blogging, but my husband is on leave this week.  He does not get vacation time very often, so my design work took the back burner this week.  Today, I am showing a layout of my children using the School Basics set from Mint Motif stamps, found at i{heart}papers .  I can see myself using this set over and over on my children's school scrap book pages.  Do you see that pencil border?  I stamped the pencil repeatedly, colored them in with copic markers & then distressed the edges with ink.  That is one of the great things about stamps, is creating your own pattern paper.  I love incorporating my stamps onto my pages. What do you get a teenager for their birthday? Now that I have a teenager of my own, I can say, give them cash, or gift card. My daughter has a birthday party to go to on Saturday, so I made a cute gift card holder, for the Target gift card we are going to give the girl.  I have had these Maya Road kraft envelopes for a while, which happens to be the perfect size for a gift card.  I love it when a project turns out the way it looks in your head. Instructions: 1. Cut/emboss Labels Fourteen Spellbinders die 2. Take out a stamp from the Very Square stamp set from Mint Motif 3. Create background on the label, tie ribbon around the label. 4. Adhere to the envelope using foam tape. 5. Stamp sentiment from the Very Square Sentiments set, cut out with a Circle Nestabilities die. 6. Adhere to label using foam tape. 7.
