Today I am showing a sneak from the Critters in the Sea stamp set from Lawn Fawn. This is a really, really cute set, and cute never goes out of style, it is forever trendy.  There are lots of sea creatures in this set.  I started by stamping the whale with Memento ink, onto white card stock.  Using B00, B01, B02 & B04 Copic markers, I colored in the whale.  I started out wanting to leave the whale on the white card stock, but I saw the bubbles and really wanted them to pop, and that would not have worked on white.  So, I cut the whale out, and set it aside.  I cut an embossed the kraft card stock using the Spellbinders S4-138 Petite Ovals Large (die #4), then cut an embossed a Spellbinders S4-139 Petite Scalloped Ovals Large die #4, with black card stock.  Before adhering the ovals together, I stamped the water spout & bubbles. This charity, sends handmade cards to deployed Sailors, Marines, Soldiers & Airmen. Then, they use these cards to send home to their loved ones. Isn't that cool!! They don't want glittery cards, or a card that is too bulky. It needs to be mailed home with one stamp. So, here is a card that I plan on sending, once my box gets filled up with simple cards. Welcome to the top ten Card Creation 8 Blog Hop! As soon as this issue hit the book shelves, I went to my nearest book store and bought a copy.  I bought a copy, knowing one would be arriving in the mail soon.  I could not wait for my mail, this baby needed to be mine.  Why you ask?  This is a special issue, the Card Creations 8 special issue.  This issue is divided up into sections, such as, Get Well, Thank You, Mother's Day, Christmas, Baby, Graduation, and Friendship, just to name a few (there are more).  All of your bases are covered, and it is all cards...all cards people!  273 cards to be exact.  Do you know my very first published card was just last year when Card Creations 7 came out?  I think I only submitted one, and they picked it up.  When that acceptance letter arrived in my inbox, I couldn't believe it.  So, a year later, to be in the Top Ten blog hop is very, very surreal.   To order your own copy of CC8, click h...

I am loving the new Delovely line from Cosmo Cricket.   It is bright, fun and so perfect for spring & summer. Here is a fast thank you card. It is all Cosmo except for the kraft card stock. I had to take a few days off of blogging. I was tired, and needed to rest. Plus, I needed to finish up a few projects. I hope you are having a wonderful day!

The ever talented Bev , is hosting this months DD/DD Alumni challenge.   The challenge is to not use anything black, and to use buttons. Of course, I used October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper.  I cannot help it I am a little obsessed right now. I paired it with some, burlap ribbon, red buttons, American Crafts ribbon & Waltzingmouse stamps. I didn't use any black, the ink I chose was a chocolate brown color.

Do you ever feel you are being pulled in 20 different directions? I have been under the weather lately, and I am trying to get it all done, but it is hard. So, today after I dropped my children off at school, I crawled back into bed, and took a long nap. It was nice, I needed the rest, and the laundry can wait. I woke up feeling refreshed, and made this lovely card. Have you seen the October Afternoon Thrift Shop papers? I love them, and whoever the designer was that created them. So beautiful, so inspiring and oh so feminine.  Did you all see that Paper Crafts is having a contest? Gallery Idol 2010 I think I may submit this. It is kind of like American Idol, but with cards.

Hello there and happy Monday! It is raining, chance of thunderstorms, really a dreary day, however I am most excited for the rain.  My cup of tea will be extra tasty this morning.  Isn't it great how, a cup of coffee or tea can be so soothing, not to mention it will put a little pep in your step.   On to the card...today is the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz.  Anyone can participate.  The theme this month of May, is Birthdays.   For a complete list of participants click here .   Recently, I finally got my hands on some of the new October Afternoon lines of paper, and I have to say they really are beautiful.  The inspiration for this card came from the paper, and everything kind of just fell into place.  I love it when you don't have to fight with a card ( and that happens a lot lol ).  Isn't that tree gorgeous!?!  So beautiful!  The tree is from the Asian Gardens set, and the sentiment is from the Fancy Phrases set.  A...
