Quick and easy card set

Image
I have a few small baskets in my house that I put all the cards I make into.  Once they start to get full, I typically send them to some of my favorite charities, or I package them up and send them to friends and family for little gift card sets.  The card/s I'm showing today, is a card set I made specifically for a charity.  I love making cards, it truly makes me happy, so it really warms my heart that these few cards can make a difference.  The stamps are from Papertrey Ink, and the card stock is from the Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket.  On a few of the cards I sewed on them, and you will notice there are no embellishments.  I wanted them to be a one stamp kind of card, so no bulk here. Did all of you have a fun Halloween?  This year we took the kids to Orlando and went to Disney Quest and Medieval times.  Talk about one fun day, I have not belly laughed like that in a while.  Anyhow, here is a fun card I made today, I decided to play along with the MFT all white challenge.  The card base is embossed using a Spellbinders Impressabilities floral and stone die.  The image is stamped in Memento ink, and colored in using Copic markers, and then I cut and embossed the image with a labels 8 Spellbinders die.  I added some white crocheted ribbon, satin ribbon & a glittered heart to add a little more texture.  I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday, I'm off to do errands and my son has an award ceremony. tea-rific friend

Clean and simple holiday tags

Dude!  Its November 1st!?!  What the heck is right, especially since it was in the mid 80's here today, I think I may be wearing flip flops at Christmas, if so, I am so making a scrapbook page on that!  Anyhow, well since the holidays are fast approaching, its time for quick and simple projects.  Today I'm showing a few cute tags that I made.  For those of you who are on the fence about wether or not you want some Spellbinder dies, let me tell you, they are the bomb diggity for mass production.  These dies will cut your project time in half, not to mention make it look professional.  You see, these dies cut and emboss...I know so cool.  Let me say, I am no way affiliated with Spellbinders, I just love their products.  Anyhow, I cut an embossed these labels, stamped a cute snowman image and sentiment onto the card stock.  Then for the cherry on top, I added a pretty red satin ribbon bow.  This my friends is one clean and simple proj...

key 2 my heart

How is your week going so far?  Things are busy in my house right now, but I'm not complaining.  I spent yesterday baking, so the family has some nice snacks for the next few days.  Right now, I'm in the middle of a ton of deadlines, so everything I'm making you will not see for a while, be it for upcoming design team work or for publication.  Hard work really pays off friends. Here is a little ditty, that I made a little while ago and to be honest, its a pub reject lol.  I still love it, its me, and right now I'm making a special gift for someone, and this card will probably go into the card gift set.  The stamps are from the Unity Stamp Co. the paper is from Jillibean Soup, and the fun hardware is Tim Holtz.  I hope you all have a wonderful day!! I'm a little sad, I cannot believe 6 months have gone by since starting to design for 2sketches4you .  It has been so awesome being on that design team, Laura and Kazan are wonderful to work with, not to mention the rest of the designers and awesome sponsors every week.  It really has been an honor that Laura and Kazan chose me to be on the team, the designers they choose are always top notch.  If you have not applied for the current DT call,  really you should try, its one of the best teams you will ever be a part of.  Good Luck to all of you who are applying.  I'm most excited to see who will be added to the team with the amazing Cheryl and Sankari.  Although this is my last card being a designer, I still plan on playing as much as possible. For my last card, our sponsor is The Cutting Cafe, Regina supplied me with some fun Halloween images that I paired with this weeks sketch.  Thank you so much for looking, and I hope you get to play along th...

PTI October Blog Hop

Wow, it has been forever since I have played along with the PTI blog hop, I forgot how fun they can be.    This month, you were to share your holiday ideas, be it cards, gift bags, wrap etc...  I decided to make a card that is pretty clean and simple, and it wouldn't be too hard to mass produce.  Right now for some reason I am really into pink, so this is not a traditional Christmas card, but I think its still super cute and my girly friends would love to receive this.  This could easily be turned into a one layer card, by stamping the stockings directly onto the card base, and instead of ribbon maybe put a few Kaiser pearls underneath the stockings.  This is a really fun stamp set, the possibilities really are endless.
