How is your week going so far?  Things are busy in my house right now, but I'm not complaining.  I spent yesterday baking, so the family has some nice snacks for the next few days.  Right now, I'm in the middle of a ton of deadlines, so everything I'm making you will not see for a while, be it for upcoming design team work or for publication.  Hard work really pays off friends. Here is a little ditty, that I made a little while ago and to be honest, its a pub reject lol.  I still love it, its me, and right now I'm making a special gift for someone, and this card will probably go into the card gift set.  The stamps are from the Unity Stamp Co. the paper is from Jillibean Soup, and the fun hardware is Tim Holtz.  I hope you all have a wonderful day!! I'm a little sad, I cannot believe 6 months have gone by since starting to design for 2sketches4you .  It has been so awesome being on that design team, Laura and Kazan are wonderful to work with, not to mention the rest of the designers and awesome sponsors every week.  It really has been an honor that Laura and Kazan chose me to be on the team, the designers they choose are always top notch.  If you have not applied for the current DT call,  really you should try, its one of the best teams you will ever be a part of.  Good Luck to all of you who are applying.  I'm most excited to see who will be added to the team with the amazing Cheryl and Sankari.  Although this is my last card being a designer, I still plan on playing as much as possible. Wow, it has been forever since I have played along with the PTI blog hop, I forgot how fun they can be.    This month, you were to share your holiday ideas, be it cards, gift bags, wrap etc...  I decided to make a card that is pretty clean and simple, and it wouldn't be too hard to mass produce.  Right now for some reason I am really into pink, so this is not a traditional Christmas card, but I think its still super cute and my girly friends would love to receive this.  This could easily be turned into a one layer card, by stamping the stockings directly onto the card base, and instead of ribbon maybe put a few Kaiser pearls underneath the stockings.  This is a really fun stamp set, the possibilities really are endless. "tis the season"

My husband and son were off at a Cub Scout cuboree camping trip this weekend, so it was just my daughter and myself.  It was really nice to spend quality time with her.  Yesterday, we made these paper ornaments, they were very easy to make.  My daughter cut and embossed blue metallic card stock using the Blossom 2 dies from Spellbinders.  For each ornament you will need to cut out two of the larger dies (in blue) then one smaller in white.  Before she cut out the white card stock, we printed off some digital stamps from Raindrop Echo designs, colored them in, then cut and embossed them.  She wanted to add a sentiment but we couldn't figure out where to put it, so we printed off a sentiment and attached it to the bottom of the ornament using twine.  I'm so proud of her, she even tied the bows herself.  If you have children, this was a lot of fun and an easy project to do.  I think I may enlist her more often to cut things in my Cuttlebug, I on...

Last week, I got my Oct Unity kit of the month and here are a few cards I made with some of the images.  There are lots of fun stamps in this kit, it makes me happy :)  To get a little more dimension in the sock monkey, I used some Sakura Glaze pens to fill in the polka dots & to color in the hat, mittens and socks, I also did some faux stitching around the card as well.  That cool striped paper is from the Nook and Pantry line from Basic Grey. "friends" For this card, I used some Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper, and created a little mountain side scene.  The plane and banner are from the Oct kit as well.  I stamped, paper pieced them and then mounted them on foam tape for a little more dimension.  The snails and heart are from the Early Bird Chipboard elements.  I had fun making this card, its a little out of the box for me, but I think it will make the person I'm giving this to, really happy because its just one of those cards that make you smi...

Today, the Flourishes design team are making cards using different folds.  For my card I did a criss cross card.  There is a wonderful tutorial on how to make this fold on SCS .  I used the Strawberries set for my sentiments, the card stock is Flourishes classic ivory, and the designer paper is the Wisteria line by Basic Grey.   This is a fairly easy fold to do, and its different than the usual standard card fold.  Head on over to the Flourishes Newsletter where Christine has a tutorial on different folds.  Mine is very simple as I'm battling a head cold, so be sure to visit the design teams blogs because they have some outstanding eye candy for you.
