Do you ever make something, and you just feel so proud because its awesome lol, snort >" I first picked out the paper I wanted to use, so I grabbed some of this Noteworthy paper from MM, I love the shabby look of it.  The card base is vintage cream from PaperTrey Ink.  The stamping is pretty simple, the panel that has "Mr. & Mrs. Forever Love etc..." are images in, I *think* is Sweet Love from PTI and the main focal sentiment is in the stamp set Anniversary Birds from Verve.  To add to the shabby feeling of this card I added a few buttons and tied twine thru them, I add a glue dot to the bottom of the button, to make it stick to the paper, I don't sew it onto the paper.  Lastly the ribbon is very vanilla 5/8 in grosgrain ribbon by SU.  Oh to get your ribbon to run all the way around the card, I get an exacto knife and make a slit in the fold, thick enough for my ribbon to get through it.

Well if my sleep schedule wasn't messed up before, it sure is now >" I made this card yesterday, its not the best, but I needed to do something creative.  I used the cc177 colors, whisper white, groovy guava & sahara sand.  I didn't have sahara sand so I substituted it for river rock.  The layers in the middle is actually an ATC {artist trading card}  I have never made one of these before, so it was a little challenging at first, but I can see how people really like to do these.  The stamps are from the Feeling Groovy set from Verve.  The white twill is from Martha Stewart, everything else is SU. I found a little bit of time today to make these cards.  Jess came home and I took a nap, I needed it.  I am still really tired, but that is life when you have a sick child. Both of these cards are cards for the Dare to get dirty challenges going on over at SCS.  This first one is a sketch challenge from Holly, I switched the oval for a circle, it just worked better for me, I combined this sketch challenge with Joan's challenge to use a silhouette.  So I used Flourishes Spring Ephemerals set {which is all silhouettes} All of the card stock, ribbon and ink is from Papertrey ink. For this card I combined two challenges again.  RoseAnn's challenge to make a flap card & Taylor's challenge to use a cupcake on the card.  Flap cards are fun and really easy to make, so I pulled out some leftover materials from my last class, that was already cut and scored {SCORE!} so all I did was stamp the cupcake in the middle, masked it and then stamped the two behind it.  Colored in the im...

Sorry I have not posted.  My youngest has a viral infection which caused him to get a freaky rash all over his body.  I have to give him medicine every 3 {different med each time} hours so I am exhausted.  Needless to say its going to be a long 4 days >" I need to catch up on a few crafty things, so check back later & I might have something posted.

So this months theme is to use vellum.  Can I just say, vellum and I battled it out today, things were not going well LOL.  So finally I made this.  The card base is sweet blush, layered with the vintage cream.  On top of the vintage cream card stock I put polka-dotted vellum from the Paper Company.  The smaller rectangle, I layered it the same as the base, but I stamped on the plain vellum using Spiral Bouquet.  I used sweet blush & berry sorbet ink.  The "Enjoy" sentiment is stamped in Stazon ink.  The ribbon is sweet blush  also from PTI.  You can't see them but I attached the vellum to the card stock with brads {I don't like adhesive to show}  I know this is super simple, but it took so long to make, but I like it.   thanks for stopping by~ ~Latisha~ *my first few cards were horrible, the vellum and I had a battle & it was winning for a while, its so easy to mess up using this stuff, so I settled on the less is more philosophy*

I am not one to usually combine challenges on SCS but I had to on this one, I really feel I need to improve on my watercolor skills, they are seriously lacking.  Anyhow Christine's challenge was to make a card and watercolor on it.  So I started on this Iris from Flourishes, I would like to say this is the only Iris I colored, but that would not be the truth.  So finally I liked this one, and I sat it aside.  I went and saw Jenn's challenge, and it was an inspiration piece, and I knew I was going to use the Damask background {Flourishes} so after I started with Jenn's card, the Iris that was going to be its own card, found a new home.  So I didn't plan on combining them it just happened.  The base is either PTI or SU cardstock, I don't remember {if I wasn't being lazy I would get up and look and feel it, you know the difference right away, but I like sitting on the couch lol}  The green paper is from Bazzill, the ribbon is from May Arts and the Su stylized hardw...
