Photo and video editing at www.OneTrueMedia.com Here are some pictures I put together of my children. I am blessed to be their mother, they are the greatest wish I only thought about in my far away dreams, that came true.

Under the weather & Stampin Up newest Demo

Well I have been sick for almost a week now and its not fun. I have not created in a few days, and I feel guilty because I have so much stuff that needs to be done. I feel like I'm starting to be on the mend so everything will have to wait until the weekend. In other news I signed up to be a Stampin Up Demonstrator, I really enjoy making cards and altering things so this is perfect for me right now. I can't wait to get my kit and see all of my new stamps sets and 18 stamp pads!! I signed before Sept 30th so I got an additional 12 stamp pads, how awesome is that. If any of my family from CA is reading this they probably have no idea what Stampin Up is, which is very funny to me because almost all of my friends are addicted to paper, stickers and stamps. So if you are a friend or family member and have no idea what Stampin Up is you can go to www.stampinup.com and look at their products. Then after you look at their products, you are now inspired to make all of your Chris...

Altered Clipboards

There are these two teachers at my son's school, that help children become better readers. All day everyday they listen to children read, and help them get through every word. So a few weeks ago the book fair came and I bought them a few books. I pick my son up from school on Friday and he hands me a card. I figure its a birthday invitation, but then I notice the envelope says to the Yoast Family. I'm really not thinking anything of it until I opened the card and there was a $50 gift card to Ruby Tuesdays, from the two teachers I got the books for!! I could not believe it, I still am shocked it was very generous of them. So this weekend I made them each a clipboard and a bag with some goodies in it. Papertrey ink has a stamp that fits perfectly with Avery address labels, so you stamp the label, then it fits perfectly over a Hershey's Nugget. Its such an easy way to dress up candy. I had made my son's teacher a clipboard, and Mrs. Seevers asked where she got it, and Mrs....

Relaxing Sunday

So my son is finally feeling better but now I am getting something. He had strep-throat but I'm hoping I just have a cold, who knows. Anyhow, today all I am going to do is be crafty. I have some cards I need to finish up and start on, not to mention I had 10 rolls of film developed yesterday! They were from last year!!! Needless to say I have some major scrapbooking to do. I love my SLR camera and all the cool bells and whistles it has but I am really enjoying my digital camera. My next big purchase is going to be a Digital SLR :) Well I made this card last week but couldn't post it because she checks my blog, this was a birthday card for my wonderful friend Chris. We share the same sick obsession with never having enough paper, stamps, stickers, or ink, don't even get me started on ribbon and embellishments thats a totally different 10 step program. I used my score-pal to make this gate front card, they always turn out really cute. The stamp I bought at Micheals in the do...

RAKS...sending and recieved

Image
I made this card for a WRAK I'm sending out. I havn't made any Halloween yet, so I thought this was perfecting timing. I have this really old Stampin Up set, at least 6 years old, so old there is no sticky strip with the name on the box, or I never put it on when I bought the set. Anyhow, the base is purple bazzil, I cut it 4x4, its smaller that a normal card, but its cute and the perfect size for what I am sending. Also there is a hint on the card, on the wish I'm granting. The dp is by moxxie, the ribbon is may arts, the sentiment is from one of the sets I got out of the dollar bin at Micheals. The rectangle scallop is acutally made out of two square scallops cut and taped together. Ink is black stazon and orange hero arts. So I went and checked my mail today and look was sitting, waiting for me, this pretty RAK welcoming me to the RAK group on scs ( www.splitcoaststampers.com ) The card is from Nancy aka crookedriver. I love getting snail mail! So I was really excited ...

3x3 Swap and Papertrey Ink

Image
I did my first 3x3 card ever! I can't believe I waited so long to make one. You can make eight 3x3 cards out of one piece of 12x12 paper...how awesome is that!! I used red bazzil cardstock and used the Holly stamp out of the Stippled Stencils (SU) set with versamark for the base. The green designer paper is the Bohemia line by My Minds Eye. I used white cardstock and a marvy punch to make my scalloped circles. Inside the circles I got to my brand new PaperTrey Ink sets (Believe and Holdiday Treats), stamped with black stazon and colored in with red and green art markers. The ribbon is retired black organdy ribbon by SU and the corners were punched with a scalloped corner rounder by Creative Memories. I really liked the way these turned out. I used next to nothing on materials...I love that. I'm thinking these would be cute gifts. Make a bunch of them and then put them into a tin or tie them with ribbon. So here is my order I recieved in the mail today from www.papertreyink.com ...

Monday Ramblings and blog candy

Image
So I check my email today and guess what...I won some awesome blog candy from Carrie, check out her blog at http://artisticavenger.wordpress.com/ she is pretty awesome. Anyhow, I lifted this pictures from her blog to show you what I got. I'm so excited :) When I opened my email I ran outside to tell my husband Jess, I was like "I won blog candy, I can't believe it, come and look" he had no idea what I was talking about. So he came inside and I had to explain to him what blog candy is and why people give it out...so he thinks it is really cool. Thank you Carrie for making my day!! This weekend my family went to University of West Florida for the kick off for the BEST Robotics competition. To briefly summarize what this is, basically middle and high schools get this kit and they have six weeks to make a robot. This weekend is the only time we get to see the field where the robots compete, its very important to go so you can see what the tasks will be. The robots will ...
