I made this card for a WRAK I'm sending out. I havn't made any Halloween yet, so I thought this was perfecting timing. I have this really old Stampin Up set, at least 6 years old, so old there is no sticky strip with the name on the box, or I never put it on when I bought the set. Anyhow, the base is purple bazzil, I cut it 4x4, its smaller that a normal card, but its cute and the perfect size for what I am sending. Also there is a hint on the card, on the wish I'm granting. The dp is by moxxie, the ribbon is may arts, the sentiment is from one of the sets I got out of the dollar bin at Micheals. The rectangle scallop is acutally made out of two square scallops cut and taped together. Ink is black stazon and orange hero arts. So I went and checked my mail today and look was sitting, waiting for me, this pretty RAK welcoming me to the RAK group on scs ( www.splitcoaststampers.com ) The card is from Nancy aka crookedriver. I did my first 3x3 card ever! I can't believe I waited so long to make one. You can make eight 3x3 cards out of one piece of 12x12 paper...how awesome is that!! I used red bazzil cardstock and used the Holly stamp out of the Stippled Stencils (SU) set with versamark for the base. The green designer paper is the Bohemia line by My Minds Eye. I used white cardstock and a marvy punch to make my scalloped circles. Inside the circles I got to my brand new PaperTrey Ink sets (Believe and Holdiday Treats), stamped with black stazon and colored in with red and green art markers. The ribbon is retired black organdy ribbon by SU and the corners were punched with a scalloped corner rounder by Creative Memories. I really liked the way these turned out. I used next to nothing on materials...I love that. I'm thinking these would be cute gifts. Make a bunch of them and then put them into a tin or tie them with ribbon. So I check my email today and guess what...I won some awesome blog candy from Carrie, check out her blog at http://artisticavenger.wordpress.com/ she is pretty awesome. Anyhow, I lifted this pictures from her blog to show you what I got. I'm so excited :) When I opened my email I ran outside to tell my husband Jess, I was like "I won blog candy, I can't believe it, come and look" he had no idea what I was talking about. So he came inside and I had to explain to him what blog candy is and why people give it out...so he thinks it is really cool. Thank you Carrie for making my day!! This weekend my family went to University of West Florida for the kick off for the BEST Robotics competition. To briefly summarize what this is, basically middle and high schools get this kit and they have six weeks to make a robot. This weekend is the only time we get to see the field where the robots compete, its very important to go so you can see what the tasks will be. The robots will ...

I love babies and everything about them and had a ton of stampin up designer paper I had not touched yet, not to mention they are soft masculine colors. Who doesn't like snail mail? Isn't it the best to get a card in the mail. So I made another criss cross card but I changed the way I did the criss cross, so that its a tall 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 sized card. I made this in mind for someone who is expecting a baby boy. The base is white cardstock, the designer paper is by stampin up, it came in a set I bought earlier in the year (sorry I can't remember the name of the set). Anyhow, since it came together it all coordinated perfectly. The chipboard is by Basic Grey and I stamped it in True Thyme SU, and then stamped the footprint and sentiment with SU white craft ink, and tied it onto the card with greenish/silverish ribbon. For the inside, the base is SU so saffron, then white cardstock. I used a creative memories to circle punch to make the tab with leftover designer & white pap...

Its been a while since my last post, with Labor Day, my husband on leave and now my youngest with strep throat its been hard to do anything. Here is my first try at a criss cross card. The tutorial is on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ My base is white cardstock, the first layer of designer paper is starlight; the Dasher line by Basic Grey. The strap that goes around the card is snowfall ice blue, again the Dasher line by Basic Grey. The thinking of you image is by Paper Trey Ink, stamped in Ruby Red by SU, and then punched with a Creative Memories cir cle punch. For embellishments I used primas and brads. My base for the insert is Ruby Red cardstock by Stampin Up, then white cardstock on top. The flourish images are by Stampin Up, I believe they are the pretty pettites(R) and I used Ruby Red ink for that. My ribbon is by May Arts.

Here is my card I made for the burgandy swap on scs. The card has to have burgandy somewhere on it. I thought about using the baroque burgandy cardstock for the entire background but I like it better with the white cardstock instead. I used white cardstock by papertrey, burgandy baroque by su, the designer paper is by mme the bohemia line (I'm loving that paper, plus its double sided!) For accessories and embellisments I used, marvy scalloped square punch, creative memories square punch, prima flowers, sweet bella blooms(burg. flower) white ribbon, and silver brads. Images by Paper Trey. I used versa color narcissus ink and stampin ups bravo burgundy. Oh, before I forget the background is dry embossed with the textile folder using my cuttlebug. I think I bought the cuttlebug just for the embossing :) it adds dimension and that extra something that makes cards pop. This was my prototype, so I need to go to my craft room and make 5 more cards. The hard part is done, trying to come up...

I was so happy to see my Paper Trey Ink stuff came in the mail today. I've been eyeing a few of their things for a while, so I finally broke down and placed an order. I will have to create later on. I bought the little lady stamp set and the borders and corners, circles set, cardstock, envelopes, stationary boxes and a scalloped circle punch. I am really happy with the cardstock so far its comparable with Stampin Up, for $6 I got 40 sheets which comes to 15 cents a sheet. I think thats a good deal for quality cardstock, plus if you cut each sheet in half to be 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 it will make 80 cards. On a side note, I started to work out this week. I'm proud of myself :) In the past I have just been really active to stay fit, but I'm in my 30's now, starting to notice things so I decided to be a little more healthy and hit up the gym. I went on Tuesday and then again today. I did a half an hour on the eliptical machine, and then I do weights on the nautilis machin...
