Its July?!?!

I really can't believe its July 1st!  This year is really going by fast, & I can't believe I have been in San Diego for almost 3 months now.  I really miss my Florida beaches and afternoon thunderstorms...I will be back soon.  Until then I will enjoy the constant sunny weather of San Diego.
This first card, I did for Monday's technique challenge on SCS, it was chalk pouncing.  First you get your chalk/pastels and a tissue, put chalk on the tissue & rub over your paper.  Get the stamp you are going to use, ink it up with Versamark, stamp it on the paper, get out your chalks again and kind of bounce/pounce your chalk color onto the image.  Do not rub your image because you can smear the ink.  If you do not have pencils or markers this is a really fun and cool technique  to do with really lovely results.  The stamp is from the Spring Ephemerals set from Flourishes LLC.

Jan Marie, one of the owners of Flourishes had back surgery a few days ago, so I made this card for her to cheer her up.  This card took FOREVER to make, but its so freekin cute in real life >"<  This is from the Sweet Treats stamp set.  I stamped, colored and then cut all of these out.  Once they all were layed down I put Diamond Glaze over the top of them so they look nice and shiny.
For all of you SU demos out there did you see the sneak peek today?  I really want all of the new in colors & the level 3 window set, the monkey set is cute, I think we all had a sock monkey when we were little.
