First off, thank you for all your work. I truly appreciate your time!!!! This is always a fun event to start off the new year!

So, one of my favorite traditions is actually celebrated on New Years Day. It's a Japanese tradition to ring in the new year surround by food, family and friends. Doesn't get much better than that, does it? I'm hostessing it solo this year, thankfully we have a great japanese grocery store that is helping me a ton.

Happy New Year Latisha!!!!!

We always spend New Year's Eve with my best friend and her family, have dinner, watch a movie, just hang out. Our new New Year's Day tradition is a little bittersweet. My Dad passed away on New Year's day two years ago. So now we head to the cemetery in the morning, and then have Dim Sum at a nearby Chinese restaurant afterwards. Dad loved good food, so it's a fitting way to honor him.

Every year is a different celebration of the New Year but usually includes a countdown at midnight. We try to spend it together or at least make phone contact when we're apart. But our favorite event is a holiday get-together with 3 other girlfriends from high school. Because we are always busy during the holiday this usually takes place the Saturday following New Years. Our families have grown up together with this celebration for so many years (we graduated back in 1971!). Thanks for this awesome blog hop. :-)

Happy new year! Thanks for all the inspiration in 2016. Our new years are normally low key, my husband, our pup and I, home with a cheese ball and crackers, we toast and kiss and pet Ty at midnight, then I eat 12 grapes thinking happy thoughts, and throw a bucket of water outside (a friend told me these things were good luck, LOL!) and I try to eat black eyed peas for good luck on new years day too, but they have a ... unique taste for me, so it is tough getting them down. A nice New Years tradition here in Belgium is that children, from the moment they go to kindergarten till 12 years old; they make/write/craft/... a New Year's letter and read it out loud for their parents, grandparents, godmother and -father.
Happy, healthy, crafty 2017 !
Hi Latisha,
I live in Puerto Rico, one of our traditions are called" Parrandas"which consists of people summoning other people with instruments and means of private transportation to go to friends houses after midnight to awaken them with popular Christmas music so that they will let them in and then a party ensues! There is no warning, but they are always greeted with enthusiasm and since its good music no one complains.
My own is to prepare the National Christmas drink which is "Coquito", which is a beverage similar to eggnog but it does not have eggs and it is YUMMY!
Thanks for having the brilliant idea to organize this blog hop and for having so many companies and bloggers follow your idea. Thanks for the inspiration and the chance to win these generous prizes!
I will be a happy kitty if I won the MFT prize which is one of my favorite companies!

so my fav tradition is our annual pass the trash party. you never know what trash or treasure you will end up with. the intent is to bring something that you got that isn't you and trade it for something that wasn't them. it is getting a little trashier lately. but always funny. this year we had a mop head no mop, 2 bath mats very used and a stinky box of ornaments enough for a whole tree. the return of the 12 ceramic bear days of Christmas and some expired jelly with grapefruit spoons. but the laughs are great and we go back year after year.

One favorite New Year's tradition is watching the Rose Bowl Parade (and other football games later) and cooking some traditional food, supposedly to bring good luck in the New Year....Pork(roast or BBQ), greens(spinach, collards, kale or any kind...to bring lots of green money) and black -eyed peas( to bring lots of coins. If done right, it can be a very tasty way to spend New Year's Day! :) Thanks for a chance to win some special prizes!

Thank you for the opportunity to win! Our New Year's tradition was to play games with friends, watch the ball drop and enjoy the parades the next morning.

I don't really have a New Year's tradition. We stay in on Dec. 31, play a few games, watch a movie. Jan 1 is the last day of the Christmas season for me. Usually I start taking down the decorations and tree on Jan. 2.
Fabulous giveaways!

I've enjoyed your work through Lawn Fawn and appreciate your gift of sharing. I make a new wreath each year before I get Christmas all put away. All my 'stuff' is out. Wreath component parts purchased at big discounts and all the parts & pieces readily available. That's my new New Year's tradition!!!

Wow, what a hop! Thank you so much for putting this together. My favorite New Year's tradition is the kiss at midnight, although this year it was just a kiss on the cheek - my husband has a horrible cold.

I prefer to stay home and be in bed early but every year I get sweet talked into celebrating until the wee hours then having a delicious lie in the next day.

Happy New Year and thank you for pulling this blog hop together. It is so cool to meet new designers and check in with familiar ones as well as have a chance to win prizes. I really don't have any particular New Year's tradition other than to spend some time reflecting on the past year, the good things, the blessings, the challenges etc and then thinking about opportunities for the new year.

thanks so much for being the brains behind this fabulous hop again! I think I've hopped along the past two years and I'm at it again this time. We have 3 kids under the age of 11, so we haven't really established any New Year's Traditions. Soon, they'll be old enough to really have some fun. : )
