Stamp It! Blog Hop

This is a little long winded post, but read all the way through, you may win something

Have you picked up your Stamp It! 2010 issue yet?  It is full of ideas for all of the stampers out there, and for the people who may be thinking "I think I might want to try this stamping thing."  My Stamp It! from last year, still sits on my table, that is how often I look at it.  Now I have the 2010 issue, to get me through this year.  What makes this issue so special to me, is that all of the cards have stamping on them, and as a stamper, it gives the warm fuzzies turning each page.  To actually see my cards in this issue, is surreal, and gives me a happy smile.  There are cards that are clean, graphic and simple, to shabby chic, to classy, there really is something for everyone.  When I look at the cards, I think to myself, "why didn't I think of that!"  Not to mention this issue is so affordable, something like $5.99, so cheap for so much inspiration.

Did you see on the Paper Crafts Connection and Moxie Fab World blogs, they are going to have a stamping challenge?  A stamping challenge entitled “The Olympics of Stamping” in which they will  invite their readers to submit stamped cards in the following themes: Birthday, Thank You, Thinking of You/Hello, Love, and Season’s Greetings.  These categories also happen to coincide with the 2010 Stamping Royalty Contest, so make sure you send in your cards, especially if you are entering the Olympics challenge.  It is kind of like a two-fer, you know a two for one deal.  If you play along make sure you link your card to the Mr. Linky on the Moxie Fab blog.

Did you see the prize for today?  12 sets of my Cute Stamps!!  WOW!  That is too much cuteness for words.  If you leave a comment on each participants blog and Moxie Fab World, that will give you 12 chances to win, this amazing prize!  Make sure you leave your comments by Sunday the 28th.

Here is my card for today.  The bird and tree branch, are from the Dream Birds stamp set, illustrated by Asela Hopkins, and sold through GinaK, (the sentiment is from the Sweet Violets set from Flourishes).  The bird and branch actually, are two different stamps, but I wanted the bird on the tree branch, so I stamped him there.  I colored in the images using my favorite coloring medium, which is Copic markers.  After everything was stamped and colored in, I cut them out, and sat them aside.  Do you see that fun pattern paper?  It may be my new favorite, it is from the Material Girl collection by Cosmo Cricket.  I actually used three different papers from that line (6in x 6in mini deck) to create my own pattern, so the birdy wouldn't get drowned out by all of the red, so I added in some blue and green.  If you know me then you know I love ribbon and pretty bows, so it was only natural to add a nice big one :)  I used a "thank you" sentiment, because I send out a lot of thank you cards, I can never have too many of them.  The card base is actually a textured card stock from American Crafts, and it is a dark chocolate brown.

Here is the list of Stamp It! blog hop participants, make sure to visit each one, for more chances to win.
Dawn McVey
Julia Stainton
Maile Belles
Tina Fussell

A big thank you to Cath and the entire Paper Crafts team, for inviting me to play along today.  It has put a huge smile on my face.  Not to mention the fabulous company I am in, I mean WOW!

I just purchased this exact issue!! I loved it because of the submarine image on the cover. My hubby is a submariner and I had to find out who made the stamp. The same day I found the magazine, my honey and I were in a great little stamp store called Stamps & Memories in Honolulu and my husband said, "look at that" and behold, there was the little submarine stamp. I was soooo excited. I'm so thrilled I came across this super cute stamp and great magazine. Thanks for sharing your wonderful blog hop... onto the next. :)

Love your card... the bird is soooo cute. :) Thanks so much for sharing.
