Happy Thanksgiving, burp cloths & blog candy, oh my

Happy Thanksgiving
I hope all of you are having a wonderful day!
As I said in an earlier post, this is the first time in 10 years that we have made it home for Thanksgiving, due to the fact that my husband is in the military and we have been on the opposite coast (east) from our family, except this year (for a month longer).  So we have made the 10 hour drive to be with my Dad & siblings.  My sister had a baby about 10 days ago, so I decided to make her some burp cloths.  I have seen them in baby boutiques and they were too much money I was will to pay for them, so I just made them myself.  I went and bought a pack of burp cloths and baby safe material, the rest I had at home.  I used a Trajan alphabet set (pti) to monogram my sisters last name.  I didn't use my nephews name just in case they have more children they can use them over or keep them.  The stamp of the baby resting on the moon is from the Rock a Bye stamp set from Flourishes, its a really sweet set & was perfect for this project.
Here you can see that on one side its the burp cloth and then at the end I added some material.  I stamped all of the images in Palette ink, they are waterproof and nontoxic.
Here is another picture where you can see that the back side is the baby safe material I sewed onto the cloth.  I wish I had a better tutorial for you, I was in such a rush to leave my house, these are all the pictures I have of them.  I made 6 of them.  Its a perfect present to give a new mother, they are cute and the project is under $20, it would be even cheaper if I didn't pick expensive material.  I made her a set of personalized stationery too, to go along with these.  I will show the set tomorrow.  New moms do not have time to go out and buy thank you cards to send out, so I'm relieving some of her stress by making them for her.
Today on the Flourishes Blog they are giving away more Just Rite product, so go over there and leave a comment.  Who doesn't like free stuff?!?!
Tomorrow I am giving away a Monogram Kit, so come back to take a look and leave a comment

Before I forget are you a part of PaperCraft Planet?  Go to www.papercraftplanet.com sign up to be a member, its free.  Starting tomorrow they are having the 12 days of Christmas, and each day a different stamp company will be giving away more free stamps!!  So when you sign up be sure to add me as a friend and join the Flourishes group too!
