Tiny Trinity Hello & Olympic Ramblings

Is anyone else watching the Olympics?  I love them, on my must do list in my lifetime is to attend one, it would be so amazing.  My parents divorced when I was young, so to keep us busy we had to play a sport (and an instrument) so these are the sports I did, volleyball, swimming, track & baseball (with the boys) plus when my Dad ran his 5-10 mile a day run, we had to ride our bike with him or stay home and clean.  Needless to say sports was huge in my family.  I am addicted to the Olympics I wish it wasn't on in the middle of the night, I feel like I'm missing alot.  Did you hear they are thinking about getting rid of softball & baseball because no one can beat the US, that is so messed up in my opinion.  Anyhow you are not here to here about that on to the card >"<
Today's color challenge is to use Close to Cocoa, Ruby Red & Blush Blossom.  This actually is a really pretty color combination, I will have to file it away in my favorites.  I used all three colors but added some Graphic 45 dp that I used on yesterday's card, it has similar colors and really softened the look of the card. To get the scalloped border I punched out 1/2 in circles and then laid them down on double sided tape on the backside of the ruby red card stock, only allowing half of the circle to show.  I added some buttons on the corner to add a little dimmesion, plus I have a bag of buttons to use up >"<  The image and sentiment is from the Tiny Trinity stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. I stamped them in Memento ink and then colored the tree in with Copic Markers.  The sheer ribbon is from May Arts.

This is gorgeous!

We've been watching quite a bit (after totally missing the opening ceremonies . . . I'm so bummed about that!!), and last night the uneven bars for the women was just crazy! That tie and then the way they "broke" the tie was heartbreaking for Nastia. Bizarre to say the least. I felt so bad for her! She did get the all-around Gold though, so good for her!

We were addicted to the swimming!
