Jacob has a little flu thing going on. So guess who got to sleep on the floor with him last night? Any guesses? Yep me lol. Around 5:30 am the bathroom floor got the best of me, it was so hard and uncomfortable I had to get up. So whats a girl to do with her children and husband asleep, but to blog hop and make some cards. I always check out Taylors blog { www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com } but I don't think I'm worthy enough even to post a comment. Have you seen the stuff she makes? She is amazing! For those of you who are PTI freaks you know exactly who she is. Anyhow, Taylor has a cupcake challenge, to use her sketch {below} and she will pick a winner and you will get this stamp set. How awesome is that...VERY!! The only thing is, you have to get your card submitted by tomorrow morning 8am PST. All you do is leave a comment on the challenge post and link her to your blog or on your split coast gallery {upload using TECC12}.
I really don't have any cupcake stamps except for my Sweet Treats set from Flourishes. Taylor is you are reading this I know you are in total shock right now that I have a limited number of cupcake stamps, but I promise I will get more lol >"<>
Enough gibber jabber on to the card. I have decided to use my stuff and lots of it. Do you know why? Because all of the stamp, paper & ribbon companies will make more. No need to hoard anymore. I know I'm saying this but its half of a lie because I can't help but hoard LOL.
The base of the card is bashful blue, I added in BasicGrey papers from the Pheobe and Two Scoops line. I love how they are from different lines but still coordinate. The ribbon is May Arts I think. Its a satin blue, that almost exactly matches bashful blue {and I got 5 yards for $1 dollar, its on clearance at vervevisual.com } The stamps are all from the Sweat Treats set from Flourishes. Its a really cute cupcake set and it has a ton of them! The sentiment is also from Sweet Treats. I colored in the top part of the cupcake with a blue prisma color pencil, then used my stardust pen to make it sparkle. The rest of the sparkles on the card are all from Stickles: Gunmetal, Candy Cane & Patina. The only ink pad I used was just a basic black pad from SU. It really was a fun easy sketch. I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday afternoon/evening!
