Relaxing Sunday

So my son is finally feeling better but now I am getting something. He had strep-throat but I'm hoping I just have a cold, who knows. Anyhow, today all I am going to do is be crafty. I have some cards I need to finish up and start on, not to mention I had 10 rolls of film developed yesterday! They were from last year!!! Needless to say I have some major scrapbooking to do. I love my SLR camera and all the cool bells and whistles it has but I am really enjoying my digital camera. My next big purchase is going to be a Digital SLR :)

Well I made this card last week but couldn't post it because she checks my blog, this was a birthday card for my wonderful friend Chris. We share the same sick obsession with never having enough paper, stamps, stickers, or ink, don't even get me started on ribbon and embellishments thats a totally different 10 step program. I used my score-pal to make this gate front card, they always turn out really cute. The stamp I bought at Micheals in the dollar bin! One can find some really cute things in those bins, plus for $1 who can pass that up. The card base is whitecardstock, the designer paper is MME bohemia line, embossed with my happy birthday cuttlebug folder, the square scallop is the other side of the bohemia paper (love double sided paper) I stamped the image with stazon, colored it in with prisma watercolor pencils and then use mineral spirits to blend the colors. The ribbon is by su.

Here is another 3x3 swap, the theme is Snowman. I am telling you I love making these cards. Did you know stampin up sells 3 1/8 x 3 1/8 envelopes! How perfect for these. I used bazzil paper for the base, punched out circle scallops on white cs, stamped my snowman image, colored him in then put stickles on his scarf and buttons (can't see it in this picture) layered the scallop circle on green cs. I stamped a swirly circle border from papertrey ink in versamark, and the sentiment in versamark as well. I used green fastenater staples to attach the ribbon. I'm telling you these are so much fun and easy.

Tomorrow is going to be a crazy day at the post office, I have so much stuff to send out! I made this card for a wish-rak I'm sending out. She wants images from the new Believe set from Papertrey Ink. So I made this card from the Little lady set from Papertrey. The base is SU perfect plum cardstock, I used versamark to stamp the flowers and trails. The ladybug is stamped with pale plum and stazon black. The sentiment says "A happy life is made of little things" isn't that so cute. The ribbon is retired su organdy ribbon. It is a very simple card but it turned out nice, I was loaded up on cold medicine when I made this, so it could have turned out terrible. Well I am off to my craft room to get some things done.

Wow, these cards are great, love your gate fold card, and your snowman swap and ladybug card is adorable. Know what you mean about paper, I have enough to carry me through to the next century.
I love the bird card, and I'm sure your friend did too. I was avidly scrounging to read who made the stamp and wasn't I shocked to read it was a Michael's dollar stamp. Great job.
You do wonderful work- I love that little birdie too! Gotta love the M's $ bin, huh? :)
